As
part of her practice, Daxa runs painting workshops with adults and
children within schools, community groups, special needs groups and
companies. Each workshop is tailored to the organisations needs, from
team building for corporate clients to developing an individual’s
path of expression.
In addition, Daxa runs Professional Development and Creative Business
Start-up Workshops for Arts Organisations to help other creative people

Creative
workshops for toddlers to youngsters on Fairytales and Magic creating
and painting a magic tunnel and wizards sticks.
Northamptonshire
Creative Partnerships
Supported
by the arts council and run by the Northamptonshire County Council,
placing Artists in schools to run one-off projects for 14 days. Artists
are required to submit a proposal which answers a question the schools
have submitted, be shortlisted and then interviewed to be placed with
a school. Daxa has been selected for two years running. Leading
the following Projects:
Daxa worked in partnership with Sue Ward, a Grounds Designer to
create spaces and opportunities for children to improve their oracy
skills throughout the school.
The
children of Year 4 designed an outside stage area with Daxa and created
7 changeable scenes from which the could create, perform and be inspored
by.
Raising
Cultural and Global Awareness through the English Language and the
Arts.
Daxa
worked with the whole of Year 9 focussing on the arts, Artists and
Writers from five countries the children were studying in KS 2 and
3. Half the children were also taken to Tate Modern as part of their
research to create their final canvasses. 120 canvasses were displayed
as part of an exhibition held at the school as a celebration of the
project.
